Tiny house, antique charm

212 Third

Our challenge was making this tiny rowhouse — built to house rope-mill workers in the early 19thcentury — into a practical 21st century home. The structurally-complex dormer transformed an attic into an owner’s retreat with ensuite bath. We highlighted the quirky period details, expertly integrating new carpentry with exposed timber frame and brickwork, even salvaging wood from a carriage house to match the wide plank floors.
