John Hutchison-Maxwell
Project Manager
John lived abroad with his family in West Africa as a child, and his experiences fostered a global perspective, love for learning languages and an appreciation of cultural diversity. After studying geography & environment at Boston University, he devoted 12 years to a non-profit organization developing an educational community farm in rural western Puerto Rico. This immersion in grassroots sustainable development gave him a lifelong connection to the island and honed his passion for natural building, permaculture, rainwater harvesting and the systems and materials that make communities resilient. He is excited to help high performance, sustainable construction become mainstream. As a perennial student of life, his motto is to always leave something better than he found it.
